The Secret to Smart Shopping? Start with Your Color Palette

Your personal color palette is a carefully curated set of shades that suit you best — the colors that make you look more rested (even when you're not), highlight your features, and give you a younger, fresher, more radiant appearance.

Every color palette includes almost all hues — but in different variations: lighter or deeper, more muted or more vibrant, warmer or cooler — depending on your skin’s undertone, hair color, eye color, and the way all these elements harmonize within your facial features.

I'm sure you've noticed over the years that some colors look better on you than others. What's fascinating is that your personal palette won’t just reflect your physical traits — it will often align with your personality as well: softer tones for gentler personalities, bold and saturated tones for extroverts, and so on.

Wearing — or even just buying — the wrong color can result in a visual disconnect. It won’t matter how perfectly that piece fits your silhouette or how stylish the cut is if the color doesn’t flatter you.

In fact, a color from the wrong palette can make you look pale, tired, washed out, or overly accentuate the color itself — instead of drawing attention to you.

That’s why, when I go shopping with my clients, color is always the number one filter. First, we focus on identifying the right color range in-store. Only after that do we evaluate material, silhouette, and style personality.

And this is exactly the principle I encourage you to follow as well — it makes navigating the overwhelming choices in stores so much easier.

What Happens During a Personal Color Analysis?

The color analysis session I offer is an in-depth experience that will quite literally change the way you look at color. We begin with a beautifully simplified breakdown of color theory, so you can understand what makes certain shades "yours" and how to read color every time you shop (and trust me — you’ll use this skill often!).

Then we explore a mix of personality tests and style patterns to help reveal your natural preferences and how they align with your unique coloring. More often than not, the color palette that matches your personality also harmonizes with your facial features. Elements of your palette are, quite literally, written on your face — and you'll see exactly what I mean during the session.

We’ll try on dozens of shades in front of the mirror, and you’ll see for yourself what truly enhances your appearance. The session concludes with identifying your best makeup shades and teaching you how to balance color on those rare occasions when you do want to wear something outside your palette. You'll also learn which shades are best avoided.

By the end of the session, you’ll leave with:

  • A completely new perspective on color and style

  • Your personal color palette, tailored just for you

  • A range of supporting materials to revisit anytime you need inspiration

Your color palette will be offered both in physical format and digital version, so you’ll always have it at your fingertips.
